Description: |
Lavender was our first essential oil, and we still consider it the most important oil for everyone to have in their home. This is our "signature oil".
We tested every source we could find in order to locate the best, highest quality lavender in the world, and we believe we succeeded. This smooth, full-bodied and complex Lavender is from the part of the world renowned for growing and distilling some of the most beautiful oils. This an exceptionally calming organic Lavender essential oil due to its low camphor content. Lavandula angustifolia is the true Lavender—as opposed to Spike Lavender, Lavandin, etc. Most companies sell a “lavender” that’s actually a mixture of several different lavender species to keep a consistent scent and lower cost, but they fail drastically in comparison to real, pure, Bulgarian Lavandula angustifolia. Lavender is the most popular and most often used essential oil here in the United States. Lavender can be blended into many formulas and has been a part of fine fragrances for centuries. It is a middle, to top, note and can be used as a perfume modifier which can also help mask unpleasant aromas of oils sometimes used in aromatherapy blends. In the world of essential oils, Lavender is one of the most commonly used oils due to its versatility and pleasant scent. It can be safely applied to a broad array of conditions, such as soothing burns, taking the sting out of insect bites, calming headaches and anxiety, as well as, invigorating the senses. Lavender also makes a wonderful addition in skin care products for all skin types due to its ability to balance the skin and soothe irritation. In Ayurvedic uses, this oil has cooling and drying energy to help relax the mind, soothe tension and anxiety, ease frustration and pent-up emotions, and to evoke calmness and composure. This is one oil that should be a part of everyone’s collection. |
